Rhodes is a beautiful island. But there is this place of exceptional natural beauty . Kallithea. In Greek, it means beautiful view". It was close to the place we were staying, so I had to visit it. Besides the natural beauty, there are these springs of therapeutic water coming from the rocks, and its healing properties were known since ancient times.In 1928, the island was under the Italian administration, and the Italians made the buildings and structures in their unique style. They were renovated and reopened for the public in 2007.
Many people visit the place daily, take their baths there and relax in the beautiful environment.
The place was used some years ago, for the shooting of many well known films, like "The Guns of Navarone", Zorba the Greek", "Escape to Athens", "The triangle of Rhodes" and others.

Η Ρόδος είναι όμορφο νησί, αλλά υπάρχει και αυτό το μέρος εξαιρετικής φυσικής ομορφιάς και υπέροχων κτιρίων. Οι πηγές της Καλλιθέας. Γνωστές από την αρχαιότητα για τις θεραπευτικές ιδιότητες του νερού που αναβλύζει από τους βράχους. Γύρω από τις πηγές έκτισαν οι Ιταλοί το 1928 αυτά τα υπέροχα κτίρια με μοναδικό ρυθμό, τα οποία ανακαινίστηκαν και άνοιξαν για το κοινό το 2008. Αξίζει να επισκεφθεί κανείς το μέρος όπου γυρίστηκαν πολλά κινηματογραφικά έργα όπως "τα κανόνια το Ναβαρόνε", "Απόδραση στην Αθήνα", "ο Ζορμπάς", " το τρίγωνο της Ρόδου" και άλλα.
