Butterflies or not, the valley is beautiful to walk its paths.

Maybe, I was not able to photograph many butterflies in the valley, but I met many of these fresh water crabs who were posing for me.

Μπορεί να μην βρήκα πολλές πεταλούδες να φωτογραφίσω στην κοιλάδα, αλλά αυτά τα καβούρια του γλυκού νερού ήταν πρόθυμα να ποζάρουν.

On the mountains in the middle of the island of Rhodes, there is this beautiful valley, forming a park, where, during summer, all tree trunks are covered by butterflies, millions of them mostly, of the kind of Jersey Tiger, (Euplagia quadripunctaria).
I had the chance to visit the place while I was there some ten days ago. I did not see many of those butterflies as it is the end of their season now, but had the chance to walk the beautiful paths and admire the beautifully preserved nature and enjoy the cool air of the valley in spite the heat of the day.

Είχα την ευκαιρία πριν από μερικές μέρες, όσο βρισκόμουν στην Ρόδο, να επισκεφτώ την όμορφη κοιλάδα με τις πεταλούδες. Δεν είδα πολλές επειδή τώρα το φθινόπωρο είναι το τέλος της εποχής τους, ενώ το καλοκαίρι καλυπτουν τους κορμούς των δένδρων, είχα όμως την ευκαιρία να χαρώ την δροσιά του όμορφου πάρκου.

Beautiful small waterfalls are formed inside the valley. The water is not much this period as there was no rain for over six months, but there is still enough to admire its beauty.

Όμορφοι μικροί καταρράκτες σχηματίζονται μέσα στην κοιλάδα, μολονότι το νερό αυτήν την εποχή είναι λιγοστό.
