Villages on the mountains(I). Χωριά στην Πίνδο(Ι)

During my recent wanderings on the mountains of northern Greece, I passed through, or saw from far away some beautiful small villages, situated either on the ridges or tops of mountains or hidden deep in their valleys. Some of them are so high, that they are being deserted during winter as they are covered for many months under a thick blanket of snow.

Κατή την περιπλάνησή μου στην Πίνδο στην περιοχή των Γρεβενών, πέρασα ή είδα από μακρυά μερικά όμορφα και γραφικά χωριουδάκια, είτε στις κορυφές των βουνών, είτε χωμένα μέσα σε καταπράσινες κοιλάδες. Μερικά είναι έρημα τον χειμώνα, επειδή το μεγαλύτερο διάστημα είναι πλακωμένα από ένα παχύ στρώμα χιονιού.
