The last remaining of the beautiful yellow flowers on the bush of the Spanish Broom or Weaver's Broom.
(Spartium junceum). A bush so common in Greece and around the Mediterranean coast. They were in full bloom about a couple of weeks ago on the hills of Imittos. Now, the last remaining flowers were hosting some guests.

I've never seen this bush of course and also I'm curious as to what the insects are. The shell looks like a ladybug but I know that's not right. Help this Alabama girl out Costas! :)

I don't think I've ever seen either the flower or the bug! Both are beautiful!
Beautiful shots. Sadly all wild flowers here have said goodbye for the summer. Only a few poppies are still braving the rainless days.
such lovely flowers and to have those polka dotted bugs in red with them is spectacular.
Beautiful flowers appreciated by humans for its delicate beauty and by insects for its delicious taste. It's a win all around.
Darryl and Ruth :)
