Gifts from heaven. Δώρα του Θεού.

Goddess Athena gave to Greeks and the world her most precious present. The Olive Tree. And olive oil is precious, nutritious and healthy. So are the olives. Here are a couple of photographs of the tiny little olives starting to form on the branches of the little olive tree i have in the pot.
A heavenly gift also is to be able to see life being born. On the branches of the decorative tree, just under my balcony, a collared dove  (Streptopelia decaocto), is sitting in her nest, laying her eggs.

Η θεά Αθηνά έδωσε στους Έλληνες και στον κόσμο το πιό πολύτιμο αγαθό. Το ελαιόδενδρο. Το ελαιόλαδο, το πιό πολύτιμο αγαθό, είναι πολύτιμο υγιεινό και θρεπτικό. Τό ίδιο και οι ελιές. Μερικές φωτογραφίες τώρα με τις ελίτσες που άρχιχαν να σχηματίζονται, στα κλαδιά της μικρής ελιάς που έχω στην γλάστρα.

Θεικό δώρο είναι επίσης το να μπορείς να δείς την ζωή να γεννιέται. Πάνω στα κλαδιά του δένδρου στην είσοδο της πολυκατοικίας, λίγο πιο κάτω από το μπαλκόνι μου.
