Caper.

I know it is growing mostly on the dry rocks of the Aegean Islands. Where they collect the little fruit in early summer. When pickled, it is used in salads and cooking. It is very spicy and tasty. And it is called caper.
The other day while walking on the hills of Imittos I found this:

This is something different. But it was there and tempted me to take a picture of it.

Marvelous, delightful captures as always, Costas! I love to use capers when cooking, but this is the first time I've seen it growing! Marvelous! Enjoy! I do, every day!

Like Sylvia I use capers for cooking but I have never seen it growing. I had no idea it had such an exquisite flower.

I had no idea capers were such beautiful and delicate flowers. I know people cook with them, and I had a pizza once in Italy that had a lot of capers on it, but - wow. I'm so glad you posted these! I will never think of capers the same way again.

I hope you are having a wonderful weekend!!!
