My series of posts with photographs from the United States, is going to be a long one, as I visited quite a few places and took many photographs to share with you.
As I do not want to have you bored, I will post some Greek music and a song for you to enjoy. It is kind of relevant to the travels and a little nostalgic also. And remember, there is sadness and bitterness and problems behind the most beautiful facades.
The lyrics are by the Greek poet Nikos Gatsos and the music by Manos Hatzidakis, the known composer of the music for the film, Never on Sunday. I will translate the lyrics into English for you. Enjoy.

A small ivory boat
came to my dreams at a dawn
and took me on a little trip
to sail around and know the earth.
I saw countries I saw places
I saw the children sad
I met the world and people
and my heart was filled with pain.
My little boat turn around again
lets go back to Athens
The birds are singing in Attica.
Lets go back to Pagrati
where streets are filled
with happy voices on Sunday.
What can I say about Europe.
What can I say about America.
People do nt change.
They have troubles there also.
I went to all ports
I passed through narrow little streets.
I did not see anywhere
manliness and pride.
My little boat turn around again
lets go back to Athens
The birds are singing in Attica.
Lets go back to Pagrati
where streets are filled
with happy voices on Sunday.
