The National Park of Grand Canyon, Arizona, USA.(I).

It is probably one of the most photographed places in the world. One of natures wonders. And the first National Park of the United States. One of the places I was dreaming to visit sometime and now, thanks to my friends invitation, I managed to do it. No photographs can be compared to what you can see with your eyes. The awe you can feel when you look at the place from high above. The tour took us to the South Rim and we were able to walk along it. As the sun changes angle, and as you walk around and the shadows change, more beauty is unveiled before your eyes. And all this made me want to visit again and walk along the Colorado river bed. Who knows. Time is getting short now.

Beautiful photos Costas!
I've been there several times and I agree, the camera just can not capture how huge it is...

Beautiful images. Dear Costas, I hope you will have the time to return and walk down by the Colorado River. It is something which I hope to do too.

Costas, so glad that you were able to experience this beauty. I went as a child and shall most probably get to visit this coming September ending, when we drive out west. I have been to the Badlands and it was pretty impressive, yet nothing like the Grand Canyon. Beautiful images to treasure~

What a trip. Stunning shots. I remember trying to photograph in Utah and again it was impossible to show the grandeur. You managed it here tho!

I know it's been a National Park for a long time but I thought Yellowstone was the first. Either way they are both amazing places.
