The old town of Rethimnon in Crete is beautiful with its narrow streets. They are always full of people walking around or having their dinner on the outside cafes and restaurants. I think it s more beautiful at night when I happened to visit the place less than two months ago.

Η παλιά πόλη του Ρεθύμνου είναι όμορφη. Τα στενάκια είναι πάντα γεμάτα κόσμο ότι ώρα και να την επισκεφθεί κανείς. Την νύχτα όμως που έτυχε να βρίσκομαι εγώ εκεί πριν δυο μήνες, μου φάνηκε πολύ πιο όμορφη.

While I was in Crete, I visited the town of Rethimnon, where I took a walk in the old town in the evening. There were thousands of swallows resting on the power cables in central town. A beautiful sight to watch but dangerous to stay under them.

Σε μια βρα;δυνή βόλτα στην παλιά πόλη στο Ρέθυμνο. Όπως περπατούσα είδα χιλιάδες χελιδόνια να ξεκουράζονται πάνω στα σύρματα της ΔΕΗ. Όμορφο θέαμα να τα παρακολουθεί κανείς από μακρυά. Επικίνδυνο όμως να μείνεις για πολύ κάτω από τα σύρματα.
