Bees and water. Μέλισσες και νερό.

There was a water pipe leaking on a wall, just outside the Monastery of Moundon in Chios. For bees and other insects it was like an oasis there. (Click on each photograph to enlarge for best viewing).
Ένας σωλήνας έσταζε νερό και πότιζε έναν τοίχο έξω από την Μονή Μουνδών στην Χίο. Για τις μέλισσες και άλλα έντομα ήταν μιά όασις.(Κάντε κλίκ πάνω στην φωτογραφία για μεγένθυνση).

The textures and colours of the stone is brought out so well in the pictures. The bees hang around my gaden tap in summer.

I guess they want to hang on for the refreshing water. Their color is blending well to the rock's color, that it's hard to see them at first. Good eye!

The water must have wonderful minerals in it that drew the bees and others to it's nutrients. Very nice captures Costas~ Mary
