A few images of the Holy Passion from the frescoes from the Monastery of Stavronikita at Mt Athos. All paintings were created by the hands of the monk Theofanis the Cretan, late 16th century.

You can hear some of the hymns sung at the Greek Orthodox Churches tonight, mourning Jesus. Here they are sung by a Byzantine Choir, according to the original Byzantine music.
