A solar power station.

There is a solar power station close to the village. On the road connecting Tzitzifes with next village Nippos. It uses clean energy from the sun to produce electricity. The elements are tracking the sun all day and can produce up to 239.57 kWp of power, saving up to 420 tons of CO2 emissions yearly. Some say that it does not look good with the environment where it is but I, personally, prefer it to a conventional power station.

I agree, Costas. Nuclear power stations look much worse than this if you ask me. And the entire planet would look better if we all used these. A little sacrifice for a vast gain.

So happy to see clean renewable energy being used. And the scenery is beautiful too. :)

Looks all so interesting and a huge factor in making sure that future generations have it better, for all that man is destroying. Have a great weekend Costas~ Hope the hawks are still nearby~

Looks like a good step forward! We have to rely on windfarms around here, as we get more wind than sun!

Some people are never happy - people don't like anything that brings change. But we must use more clean energy - wish we had enough sun for these!

I am so much in agreement here. A small spot of solar panels - to save a much larger spot of the earth - seems like it's worth it to me!

I love the surrounding countryside - so very beautiful. The panels don't detract from that at all!
