The little fellow was trying to cross the street and I saw him the last moment. I had to help him cross faster to avoid an accident.
Αυτός ο μικρούλης προσπαθούσε να διασχίσει τον δρόμο και τον είδα την τελευταία στιγμή. Τον βοήθησα να περάσει πιο γρήγορα να μην έχουμε καένα ατύχημα.
Kostas- You are a man after my own heart! We have box turtles here in Tennessee who die by the hundreds trying to get across the highways in June as they try to find a mate-

nice that you did that Costas. I tried it a couple times for tortoises. One though that was in the middle of a road actually spun around like a catherine-wheel (fire-cracker) and kind of hissed at me (if I remember rightly!). I decided to leave well enough alone... Enjoyed your photographs.
ReplyDeleteΣυγχαρητήρια Κώστα και σε όλους όσοι κάνουν το ίδιο .Δέν μας φταίνε σε τίποτα τα ζώα.

ReplyDeletei am always fascinated by the chelates on their shell. :)
ReplyDeleteoops. should have said scutes instead of chelates. for some reason, i mix those two words up. :)
ReplyDeleteNice of you to help it cross the road. Cute little fellow, I can see some similarities to the desert tortoises we have here.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Costas, for helping him get across the road without being injured!! What great shots and I love to see the close-up of the pattern of his shell! Enjoy your weekend!
ReplyDeleteNice pics! He looks really big. Good of you to help him out!
