A tree with a view(IV). Ένα δένδρο με θέα(IV).

There was a regal presence warming up in the early morning sun, on a branch of the same tree. This is what I could see from the patio. Then I had to take my camera, and go out the front entrance, around the tree then out in the street to find better angles to take more photographs. Not an easy task, as my 70-300 mm lens is not autofocus and had to play with it as I was moving around. But the beautiful hawk did me a favor, waiting for me patiently to finish, sometimes looking down at me with scorn and contempt. See for yourself.

  2. Nice job! I like the one in nearly all silhouette the best - where you can see just enough detail.

  8. Nice Hawk shots. Love your Header too! It's so bright and cheerful. We have another snowstorm predicted bringing from 4 to 10 in. new snow. Just what we need!

  9. To begin with, your header is indeed breathtaking! The colors are glorious! And, of course, I love the shots of the hawk -- he does look as though he's checking you out and with some definite "bird scorn/contempt"! Aren't they wonderful! I do envy your BLUE skies! Hope you have a lovely evening, Costas and a great week ahead!
