A promising(?) sunset. Μια υποσχόμενη(;) δύση του ήλιου.

Yesterdays sunset as photographed from the roof of my apartment. The good warm weather is still holding, very unnatural for the season. Only some cloud layers over the distant horizon. When you zoom up, you can enjoy the glory of the evening and the promises and expectations for a better next day. But things can be deceiving. Today, no matter the bright and warm weather, is a sad, gloomy day for all of us. More heavy cuts and burdens for the people are being voted in the Parliament. The hardships for the poor, the unemployed and all those suffering will become worse, according to the directives of IMF and the European Union. The coalition government managed to unite all all people against it. Only the bankers and industrialists,  foreign and local are content. The rest are counting their wounds and trying to think of ways to survive the storm and the coming winter.
The only good thing about the good weather holding still, is that people will not have to heat their homes, as heating expenses have risen up to 50 per cent since last year.

Τ χθεσινοβράδινο ηλιοβασίλεμα όπως το φωτογράφισα από την ταράτσα της πολυκατοικίας. Όμορφο και λαμπρό από κοντά. Υποσχόμενο μια λαμπρή μέρα για την επαύριο, την σημερινή.

Η πραγματικότα όμως είναι διαφορετική.

Η σημερινή μέρα, παρ' όλη την καλοκαιρία είναι σαν μεγάλη Παρασκευή. Σήμερα, οι πατέρες του έθνους ψηφίζουν στην βουλή καινούρια μέτρα. Φαίνεται πως δεν θάχουν τελειωμό. Κατάφερε η κυβέρνηση να μαζέψη όλους τους Έλληνες εναντίον της. Μόνο οι τραπεζίτες και οι βιομήχανοι, ντόπιοι και ξένοι είναι ευχαριστημένοι. Ο κοσμάκης μαζεύεται και ψάχνει να βρεί τρόπους πως να βγάλει τον χειμώνα. 

Ευτυχώς που κρατά ακόμη ο καλός καιρός και δεν χρειάζεται ακόμη να ζεστάνει ο κόσμος τα σπίτια του.
