This is the flower from some kind of wild leek which is common in the fields of Crete. What is not common and i saw it for first time is the bee I found feasting on it. It was scary and long around 2 inches.
On one flower I counted five of the species. Can anyone please help identify it?

ReplyDeleteWhat amazing bees. They are even more beautiful when I enlarged the photos - on my monitor they are about 2 inches, which is about full size by your description. Wow - I've never seen bees that big! I'm not good with ID's, and I hope you get the information you seek!
