Bermuda buttercup (Oxalis) is a plant which was brought to Crete from elsewhere. But it is growing everywhere now, especially in cultivated areas. It is blooming at this period and the bees are visiting it frequently for food.

Hello, Costas! We have oxalis in Romania, in pots and it is dark pink or red. I have not seen yellow Oxalis. Thanks for showing it to me!

ReplyDeleteHow interesting. We have that plant here too. They call it 'the English one' because they say it was introduced from S.Africa during the British period. I think it is also called Cape Sorrel. Lovely photos.
