Saying goodbye to Chios.

On the last day at the island, I visited a beach a little south of the town and the airport. It was a bright warm day and the water was crystal clear.
There was that little fish tavern next to the beach., where we sat for lunch. The owner had a couple of octopuses hanged on the wire to dry in the sun.
It looks like it is not just me who likes octopus.
Half halfheartedly, I had to say good bye to the beautiful island.

I love the octopus and that hungry little guy enjoying a meal! Always fun to be able to catch a shot like that!! I find octopus very tasty as well, although the only place I've found it was in Greece! Hope you have a wonderful weekend! Enjoy!

  13. What beautiful photos, Costas! Even though the octopus shots are pretty scary, the rest of your photos/visit are enthralling. What beauty surrounds you, or what beauty you see and magnify!

  15. So lovely a place and I have enjoyed Squid, not Octopus per say, but it was very tasty in a Japanese house, where we sat on cushions on the floor and the women wore kimonos and the gents happy coats. We would place the Squid and seaweed in a little dish of delicious sauce, oh I am hungry now~
