Στην περιοχή των Γρεβενών, στην Πίνδο, υπαρχουν πολλά παλιά γεφύρια. Εχουνε κατασκευαστεί είσης πολλές νέες γέφυρες τώρα, με την διάνοιξη της Εγνατίας οδού. Τί προτιμάτε. Τις παλιές ή της καινούριες;
Aziz Aga bridge.
Kagelia bridge over the same stream, higher up on the mountains.
Two bridges on "Egnatia" motorway, in the same area.
Nice angles, the old are nice, but the new get you there faster.
ReplyDeleteThe older bridges have an elegance the newer bridges don't possess. The older ones are distinctive too of their place. The new ones, especially from underneath, look just the same as ones all over Europe (and probably further afield too).
ReplyDeleteGorgeous picture of the wasp, Costas... I love it!
ReplyDeleteA series very nice and interesting: I love the first three shots, really beautiful!
ReplyDelete:-)
Old bridges have a certain charm.
ReplyDeleteFor aesthetic purposes, the old ones. For driving over purposes, definitely the ugly new ones.
ReplyDeleteI tend to agree with Rob and Mandy, aesthetically I definitely prefer the old ones and these are so beautiful, but for an easier drive I would probably prefer the new ugly ones. Marvelous captures as always, Costas! Have a lovely evening!
ReplyDeleteSylvia
Like Gerald mentioned, the old ones might all look alike. This looks very 'southern California'!
ReplyDeleteNice, and a whole different view of your side of the world.
I like pictures of bridges, and I must say that I like the old ones best.
ReplyDeleteHave a nice week Costas, and thanks for all nice comments from you in my blog. I appreciate it:)
Berit.
Beautiful bridges, althought I didn't see very much water under it. :)
ReplyDeleteIn Greece? Well old of course!!

Beautiful shots. The older bridges have such style and character.
ReplyDeleteDarryl and Ruth : )
I love the old ones - and those humpy back ones are fun to drive over - wheee!
ReplyDeleteAnd yet, those old ones have certainly withstood a great deal to still be standing and in use today!!!
ReplyDeleteInteresting contradictions!!!
I prefer the old! Always the old...
ReplyDeleteThere isn't as much character to the new ones. I'm sure they are more efficient and safe, but still...
