Landscape photographs around the village on lower ground.

The typical and most common trees and bushes of Crete, on lower levels, are olive trees, cypresses, carob trees, kermes oaks, bay laurels, vineyards, and where there is more water or irrigation, one can find orange and lemon groves, avocados, all kinds of vegetable gardens and others. Here are some photographs from the area around the village.

  2. My brother and family spent several summer vacations on Crete and Cypress...they really liked it! I never got farther than Athens and one day at one of the smaller islands close by Athens.
Very poetic pics -glad I found your blog!

  3. What wonderful landscapes. I am most captivated by the rock walls/fences I see in so many of the photos. How much work must have gone into those!

Thank you, once again, for this amazing tour.
